Three Reasons We Don't Visit the Dentist.

Fear in the dental office.

Fear of the dentist or the dental office can come from a bad experience as a child or as an adult. Whether an experience was traumatic or more more subtle, the subconscious and mind play tricks on us. I remember my daughter coming home from third grade stating that she would never eat tomatoes again. What was that about? She'd always eaten tomatoes. To this day, she can't tell us what happened. We suspect a classmate talked about those slimy little seeds or some other yucky part of the tomato. Who knows?

Though you may have some hesitation, know that you can tell us about your dental fears and you will be heard and respected. Our office is a safe place. Many of our clients have found that simply by us listening and then treating them with great care and skill they have been able to overcome their fears. Still others find that medications such as nitrous oxide or mild sedatives allow them to be quite comfortable in the chair.

Calming your fears and providing a comfortable experience for you starts with a conversation. If you are ready for that conversation and a healthy mouth, please call or e-mail us. I look forward to meeting you.

The Time Conundrum.

In today's busy schedules planning is crucial. The solution is to plan treatment in as few appointments as possible and to schedule in advance to accommodate your availability. A plan for your health will optimize your time and will greatly reduce emergencies such as the pain of a broken tooth or an abscess. We are fully staffed Monday, Tuesday and Thursday and offer additional options for special situations. If your scheduling is tight please let us know when you call or email.

Money solutions.

Having a detailed plan is key to controlling money. Once you know what you want and need we will sit down with you and discuss options. Generally, we require payment at time of service. For sums that are more than fit your budget it may be possible to sequence the treatment to fit you. Another option may be an in-house credit plan that might look like one third down, then one third, then the remaining third. Outside credit plans may also be available. Please feel comfortable discussing your payment plan with us. Our desire to help you includes helping you figure out how to afford care. Please phone or e-mail us when you are ready.
